Day 49 – #papaJan

Eva: Did I ever tell you how Jan reacted when he heard about Luis? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Romania 2018. Slowly we got used to hiking during 5 months, the discussions about how fast and how far we walk each day are ebbing away. After strange breathing difficulties and nausea (๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™ƒ), a doctor who then detects a virus in it, our safety in the spiral, we stranded in Aurora. Surrounded by nothing but forest. The day I have to go to Budapest for my exam, Filipa and Claudian, Auroraโ€˜s creator, drive us into civilization, into the city, from which the train departs in 2 hours. Jan is supposed to go back to Aurora to stay on the way. For safety’s sake, I buy a test, just in case … In a cafรฉ, Jan and Filipa and Claudian sit at a table and make plans for his next hiking days. I decide that now is the perfect moment: “Well, I’m pregnant”. Silence. Well, at least from Jan. Filipa and Claudian congratulate us and laugh. Thanks for that โค๏ธ Jan is still silent. No felt, 5 real minutes long. And then the question: “Does it mean that we now have to buy a house and live in one place for three years?” ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ™ˆ I still had to drive, a week later Jan was bitten by a dog in the rabies area and came to me in Budapest. Oh yes, at that time he was happy ๐Ÿ˜„ What I’m really about: From birth, Jan carries the little one in any weather (protected, of course) around, plays with him, making him laugh as hard as I can barely and gets such a proud smile when Luis learns something new, that I have to give my best not to cry. Thanks to Jan, I am always allowed to dance tango, study and feel every day not only as a mother. And for me, it does not mean that he loses masculinity, but on the contrary.
