24 Feb Day 154
In mid-January we got to visit El Refugio del Burrito, a donkey farm in southern Spain.
The donkeys and mules who are allowed to spend their retirement there had to do hard work for which they were not designed. Unfortunately, for some people, donkeys and mules are still just pack animals that have to go with everything that one asks of them.
Fortunately, on the other hand, there are people like Juan, who have made it their life’s work to ensure that they live as donkey-worthy as possible in the refuge. The interview touched us very much and will follow soon. Here is a brief introduction.
Many thanks also to Rose Weiße for the organization and the opportunity to visit the team.
